Transcendence - Chris Collins
Recommended for experienced meditators
Ancient Sacred Chant: Gregorian Chant
Chanting is the repetitive vocalization of a mantra or prayer, a holy text, or your name for God or the Divine, and is a widely practiced spiritual activity.
Chanting is extraordinarily soothing, because it induces a sense of calmness and tranquility and evokes a connection to a higher power. Chanting is one path to spiritual development and is accepted by a wide range of spiritual traditions. Benefits come from vocalizing as well as listening.
The Christian Gregorian chant developed mainly in western and central Europe during the 9th and 10th centuries. “Gregorian chant draws its beauty and practical strengths from three memorable characteristics: chastity, poverty, and obedience. Gregorian music is a pure, chaste melody, with no underlying harmony or accompaniment necessary."
Contemporary Meditative (Healing) Music: Mystic Nature – Chris Collins
What labels music or sounds to be meditative is that it slows and reduces our brainwave activity to a measurable ‘alpha’ or ‘theta’ frequency range. This relaxed calm state provides the best conditions for healing. Therefore, when I refer to anything as meditative or healing, it means it coaxes our bodies into an ideal body state for improvement and recovery.
I chose Chris Collin's instrumental Mystic Nature to pair with the Gregorian Chant.
Chris describes his composition as follows:
“Let this harp music transport you to a mystical fantasy world, filled with nature and inner peace. “Mystic Nature” is inspired by one of my favorite musicians ever, Jerry Marchand, a harpist. I met him at a festival in my hometown when I was just a kid. I bought his CDs and have listened to his music so much throughout my life. I wanted to create something inspired by his music, which always transports me to another world and makes me feel safe/calm.”

The Hebrew name of God transliterated in four letters as YHWH and can be articulated as Yahweh or Jehovah. All knowing, all powerful, all present. Was, Is and Will be. A mantra for divine realization, power, and grace.
It is chanted as "Yod, Hey, Vav, Hey" and holds Great Divine Power. When listening to or chanting this Powerful Hebrew Mantra you will begin to feel its vibration and light working within your body.

The Gayatri mantra is the oldest and most powerful of the Sanskrit mantras. There are many interpretations of its meaning, but this interpretation resonates with me:
Focus on the magnificence of your creator and ask for greater understanding or enlightenment.

Repeated over and over again, these six syllables represent the following mantra or prayer: Let me be generous, ethical, show patience, perseverance, concentration, and wisdom.

Rhythmic Drumming & Didgeridoo
Rhythmic drumming is extraordinarily soothing, because it induces a sense of calmness and tranquility and evokes a connection to a higher power. Rhythmic drumming is a path to spiritual development by a number of spiritual traditions.
Shamanic drumming accompanied by a didgeridoo allows for deep meditation and is a quick way to enter a deep Theta Shamanic state. The drum is an instrument that has been used by tribal cultures to connect with the divine and create an altered state of consciousness.
This soundtrack begins with drumming, joined by a steady chant of the didgeridoo. Other instruments and atmospheric sounds join in. A great example of ‘energetic layering’.
The ancient vibrations that come through even the most modern versions of the didgeridoo often help listeners enter deep states of relaxation or trance. These deeper states of consciousness, not commonly accessed by us on a day-to-day basis, are truly beneficial to those who enter them with intention.
Shamanism is anchored on the belief that the spiritual world can be accessed through consciousness while in a deep trance. This healing music will put you into a relaxed meditative state that allows a connection with the spiritual realm. Headphones are recommended for optimal results but are not necessary. Ensure that you are in a quiet environment. Breathe, relax and enjoy.
